EMERGENCY! It’s Mother’s Day and here’s what you can do…

Come and enjoy a special Mother’s Day event Saturday May, 9 at @jewelry bar making gifts for your mother or with your mother. The $15 fee for a one hour session includes the assistance of professional jeweler Kim Harrell, handmade findings for earrings, necklace, or bracelet, and a glass of champagne.

 

Bring your own beads or purchase some from Kim’s personal high quality collection.

 

This will be a “drop-in” session so feel free to come by East End Applied Arts 1556 Florence St. Aurora, CO 80010 any time between 1-4 pm (last session begins at 4 pm). You are also welcome to book in advance.

Jewelry Bar Is Open every Third Saturday!

Repurpose, reuse, redesign a new piece of jewelry!  Starting at $10 you can come and enjoy an hour of making a pair of earrings, bracelet or necklace with the help of professional jeweler/silversmith Kim Harrell. The sterling silver findings that are availabe are hand made by Kim and are included in the price as is her assistance. Other high quality beads will be available for sale but you are welcome to bring your own!  No experience is necessary!!

It just costs $20 for a necklace or bracelet; $15 for earrings; $10 if you bring your own necklace clasp/earring hooks. The ’session’ is per item and the cost at each level includes the assistance of professional jeweler and designer Kim Harrell. For the $20 and $15 sessions, the price also includes one pair of handmade sterling silver earring hooks OR necklace/bracelet clasp and beading materials. No materials are included at the $10 but you are welcome to purchase what is available and to use the communal tools.

Bookings for the Jewelry Bar is open every Third Saturday; next session is March 20, from 1 to 4pm.  You may want to come a bit early to select your beads if you do not bring your own. You can check out Kim’s jewelry at www.kimharrell.blogspot.com. Kim has been making jewelry professionally since 1996 and was trained in London where she lived for 14 years and ran a successful jewelry/silversmith studio for 7 years. It was her love of beads that started Kim on her jewelry journey. Her work is currently for sale at her gallery and through prestigious venues such as the Denver Art Museum in the Hamilton Building and J Cotter Gallery in Vail and Beaver Creek.
